PostSubject: Top Ten NFL QBs   Sat Jul 21, 2012 9:37 am

Recently, Ron Jaworski rated the top QBs currently in the NFL. I wanted to see what everyone else thought and create some discussion on the topic. I'd like to see not only your top 10 current NFL QBs, but your top ten all-time (non-current) NFL QBs in order from one to ten.

Here's where I stand:

Top Ten Current NFL QBs:

1) Aaron Rodgers (He's looked virtually unstoppable each of his last 2 seasons with a Super Bowl title in one and nearly undefeated season in another.)

2) Tom Brady (Hold on.... . It kills me to say it, but you can't deny Brady's play.)

3) Peyton Manning (He's dropped a little in my standings only because of his injury and the fact he's only won the big one once.)

4) Drew Brees (An awesome QB with a Super Bowl title on his resume. Not sure he's worth all the money that was just dumped on him though.)

5) Ben Roethlisberger (2 Super Bowl titles and a great success rate even with a porous o-line. Ben could rise fast in my rankings w/ a new o-coordinator at the helm in Todd Haley and revamped o-line if the Steelers can put it all together.)

6) Eli Manning (I don't know what it is with Eli, but I just can't be convinced of his "elite" status like his brother no matter how many Super Bowls he wins. He's good, but not top 5 good, IMHO.)

7) Phillip Rivers (His star is falling quickly with me after a sub-par season and the inability to win a big game. He may continue falling down my rankings the next couple of seasons if he doesn't turn it around.)

8) Matt Stafford (You can't deny a guy a top 10 spot when he throws for over 5,000 yards in a season. If he can continue to stay healthy like last season, the sky's the limit with this young Lion.)

9) Bert (Although I'm not convinced he's as great as Ravens fans, and he himself, may seem to think, Bert does win. He may not be flashy doing it, but he gets the job done somehow.)

10) Matt Ryan (Ryan needs to win some meaningful games to rise in my rankings. He wilts in big games and has yet to win a single playoff game. This could change soon.)

Top Ten All-Time NFL QBs (non-current):

1) Johnny Unitas

2) Joe Montana

3) John Elway

4) Brett Favre

5) Bart Starr

6) Dan Marino

7) Steve Young

8) Roger Staubach

9) Fran Tarkenton

10) Kurt Warner

I love Terry Bradshaw and it was a tough call leaving him off this list, but who do you eliminate to put him on?

I wanted to see everyone else's lists. No takers so far.

I have a feeling Mannings ranking among current QB's will drop a LOT this year. I just don't see him being himself this year, especially with a new team, but i'm probably wrong
