My only question is can he coach? It’s one thing to be a great player it’s another thing to be able to coach up young men to get the most and the best out of them. Mann knew how to do that and he had a great eye for talent. Don’t get me wrong I love Ward just not sure he has the chops to coach yet...

Hines Ward doesn't put up with BS, he wasn't afraid to call out guys like Ben when he was playing, and he hasn't been afraid to criticize them as an analyst. I think he'd bring a better attitude to a receiving corps that's full of divas at the moment. Bryant and Brown could use some tutelage from a guy like Ward.

He could also do part of Tomlin's job for him. Keep these guys off of Twitter and Instagram during the season.

Steelers hire Darryl Drake as receivers coach

PITTSBURGH -- Darryl Drake will replace Richard Mann as the Steelers' wide receivers coach, according to The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette.

Drake, 61, has spent 13 years in the NFL as a receivers coach with the Chicago Bears (2004-12) and Arizona Cardinals (2013-17).

Wait, an Arizona coach is coming to Pittsburgh? I don't think that's how it's supposed to work.

I don't understand this. Maybe Hines isn't ready.

Hines might not of wanted it. Everyone is assuming he wanted that job, perhaps he likes the freedom of popping in and out as he sees fit.

I didn't think about that. I guess it'll come out eventually.
