Maybe a bit early since his signing isn't official yet, but on the other hand it's never too early to start this topic

This thread was inevitable. I'm surprised it wasn't posted sooner.

"He's going to inherit a stacked offense. There's Roethlisberger, who already has put retirement rumors to rest. There's Le'Veon Bell (assuming he doesn't retire), who might be the most complete back in football. There's Antonio Brown, who might wind up being a top-five all-time receiver. And then there's JuJu Smith-Schuster, who looks like a worthy receiver to play opposite of Brown. The Steelers have been a top-10 scoring offense in each of the past four seasons.

That also means, of course, that expectations will be high. The Steelers recently fired their offensive coordinator after a season in which their offense ranked eighth in points scored, third in yards, and third in DVOA. Haley lost his job even though his offense scored 42 points against a great Jaguars defense.

The point being, if Fichtner struggles even remotely, it won't take long for fans to call for his head."

Ben's interceptions and fumbles are down though. And he still hasn't been sacked.

obviously haley's firing had more to do with than just his football resume in pittburgh. the offense has been way light years beyond what aryans did with it.  Ben claims their relationship was fine , but i'm callin bull shit.  been goes from talking retirement to talking playing another 3 years. that's a big change of heart in such a short period of time. he's still got $34 million to collect on his contract. ...speaking of which, he is a free agent in 2019.

Yeah, I don't quite get that one either. Maybe Haley fired due to his inability to get along with everyone. Either way f the offense puts up 42 at home I don't care if Jack Lambert was missing the game...the D should be expected to give up fewer points and you should still win.

Haley was the asshole in the room.

Munchak is staying Ben saying he is staying another 3 years right here tells me why Haley was let go.

stat wise Haley's offense looks good for my taste it was to predictable a lot of times through games,,, imo this offense should be scoring more points in the 1st half. score points faster make opposing offenses more one dimensional earlier in the game and help out the defense.

WOW Damn good call.

what I have seen with plays being called from the first half of the season to the 2nd half season with Fichnter on the side lines the Steelers short passing game took off. imo Ben kinda likes Fichnter.

I know Ben is going to like this offense, with the talent on this offense this new system might make it unstoppable.

what i've read so far I think OC Fichtner is going to be an easy offense to learn for new players with less sideline communications in tight parts of games.
