The Steelers have added Blaine Stewart, son of late West Virginia football coach Bill Stewart, as a coaching assistant.

Stewart completed his studies at the University of Charleston, where he earned his MBA and played as a wide receiver on the football team. Stewart was an undergraduate at James Madison, where he was a two-year letterwinner.

Bill Stewart, who died of a heart attack in May 2012, gave Steelers coach Mike Tomlin his first coaching job at VMI. Tomlin has remained close to the Stewart family.

this hire goes with Randy Fichtner hire as OC and the new wide open offense the Steelers will run next season. which goes with the Steelers o-line that is more athletic then power and the Bell not getting his big contract with the Steelers.

wide open unpredictable offense with a running game is what I want to see out of this talented offense where a franchise QB like ben could make this offense in the top 5. yet still can work with a lesser QB with the talent around that QB.

Cowher had kinda of the right ideal about the franchise QB but he went heavy run and position WRs OC Ken Wisenhunt won him a Super Bowl with the trick plays.

Haley was the OC that made Ben grow up and time for the front office to put a o-line in front of him.

Bradshaw is pissed off because hard headed Ben is taking over his franchise recorders, I like Bradshaw but Noll put the talent around him and it still took him a couple of years to learn how to read defenses. Bradshaw can hang his hat on 4 Super Bowls.

The past, the present, and the future walked into a bar. It was tense.
