Looking at Jeremy Fowler's final roster and season prediction at ESPN. He picks a final record of 11-5. He does have us beating the Pats* but I think more likely for 13-3 this year. In particular I think they beat Bucs and Broncos. He has Steelers beating Browns and Bengals both times and splitting with Ravens which usually how that one goes. I think Browns likely play first game like a Super Bowl and think there will plenty of 'experts' picking them to win this coming week.

What is your season record prediction?

I think we not only sweep the north, we also win in Tampa so I'm saying 13-3.

The legend of Pimply Dan has traveled through many black and gold realms. Many may know of the sage message in one of its many forms it has taken over the years, but not of the legend from which it was born. Old timers like myself were around when the legend sprang to life on the long gone steelers.com message board. At least a few times a season, Pimply Dan's battle cry will rise from the ashes and bring hope to a new generation. Long live Pimply Dan. Heroes die ... but legends live forever.

Steelers have an uncanny knack for losing 1 of their first 3 games. Here's how the past 4 seasons have started ...

2017: 2-1
2016: 2-1
2015: 2-1
2014: 2-1

So my bold prediction is that they lose 1 of the first 3 games and start off 2-1.

My odds are good. Just hope the one loss doesn't come today.

Halfway point of season, 5-2-1 record and 1st place, how do you see the remaining games?

Quote :
Nov. 8 vs. Panthers
Nov. 18 at Jaguars
Nov. 25 at Broncos
Dec. 2 vs. Chargers
Dec. 9 at Raiders
Dec. 16 vs. Patriots**
Dec. 23 at Saints
Dec. 30 vs. Bengals

Saints likely a loss. i think Jaguars, Broncos, Raiders, Bengals are wins, Chargers at home should be. I'd like to think we spilt Carolina/Pats* at home to give us 6-2 for rest of season. I really feel like at some point they are going to solve the Pats*. At this point I think the players want it as bad as the fans. It almost, and should have, happened last December maybe this is the year.

I agree with you for the most part. For me it's a loss to the Saints and Patriots* and a 50-50 game against the Panthers. All other games I believe we will win, so either 6-2 or 5-3 depending on Thursday's outcome.

The Panthers, Broncos, Chargers, Pats**, and Saints all worry me. Broncos is at Mile High so that game is never a gimme. They still have a pretty decent defense, and their offense is at least competent.

The Chargers look better to me this year than they have the past 4-5 years. Their offense is moving the ball and is balanced, and their defense is pretty decent despite the fact they've been missing Joey Bosa. The Pats** are the Pats**, they seem to always have our number. The Saints are just scary offensively. Their defense can be beat, but that offense is right up there with the Chiefs. So many threats in both the passing game, and in their running game. Plus it's in the Superdome, so I don't like our chances to win that game at all.

I think we could hit 11-12 wins if everything is perfect and we don't make mistakes from here on out. Realistically though I'm kind of feeling like we're going to be 10-5-1 by the end of the season.

It's a little early for this but it's interesting to see how far they've come after the start they had this year.

NFL playoff picture: AFC, NFC seeds through Week 10

Quote :
2. Pittsburgh Steelers
The Steelers have rendered the Le'Veon Bell storyline nearly moot. They've now won five consecutive games, most recently putting up 52 points on the Carolina Panthers, and have scored at least 30 points in five of their nine games. Bell can't play this season if he doesn't report this week, and it's worth noting that the Steelers' schedule is about to get difficult. They have conference games upcoming against the Patriots* and Los Angeles Chargers, as well as a Week 16 trip to New Orleans. Overall, ESPN's Football Power Index (FPI) rated their remaining strength of schedule as the fifth-most difficult in the NFL.
