Some extremely important ones not listed: Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen Satisfaction by The Rolling Stones and one that really started it all...Johnny B. Goode by Chuck Berry.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Gimme Shelter. I have two German Shepards, one named Jagger, the other Angie. I was raised on the Stones, haha.

I vote for AC/DC "Back in Black." And yes, I do think it's criminal that this song was left off the list.

My favorite Allman Bros song:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAyaw4ktO5g
I do have to vote for Freebird though, Layla would be my second vote even though it's not on the list.

Had to go with Pink Floyd. Comfortably Numb is a masterpiece, and that solo...
Though, I am a bit disappointed that Renegade didn't make this list.

went with Stairway, although I could have gone with Gimme Shelter, Comfortably Numb, Baba O'Reiley, All Along the Watchtower. Too hard to pick a best Song for me.

this thread reminds me of when VH1 use to come up with all kinds of countdowns. I remember them starting to do that back in the mid to late 90's. The first one I remember ended up having Satisfaction as the #1 rock song. Good song and everything but I can't agree with it.

Really I'm only a fan of Come Sail Away, and Renegade, so I don't necessarily disagree with that statement. I saw Styx in concert along with Foreigner at the Iowa State Fair a couple of years ago and Styx really kind of sucked outside of those two staple songs. Foreigner though was awesome and put on a really good show for a group of aging rockstars.

Comfortably Numb is a great song but what about Mother and Learning to Fly? Can't discount them.
I'm hard pressed to find Pink Floyd songs I don't like. There's literally so many that are awesome. Their really early stuff is kind of weird and different though, so I'm not much into that. Mother, Learning to Fly, Hey You, Wish You Were Here, Shine on You Crazy Diamond, Welcome to the Machine, The Dogs of War, What Do You Want From Me... So many, can't even name them all.
