Great idea for a thread, Jon. Rather than singling out one person with my first post, I'm dedicating this one to all my PALS.

First and foremost, to my Dad...because when I was 5 my parents convinced me that my Dad used to be Don McLean and my Mom used to be Diana Ross. I told everyone with pride.
To my Mom...for annoying me in the car by singing this in the worst possible note for so long that I can't hear it without laughing and thinking of her.
To my brother because this is the first song on the first mix tape he ever made for me, and I loved it. It just makes me think of us as kids.
To my daughter...because when she was a baby, Bob Marley used to be the one thing that would calm her right down. Buffalo Soldiers always seemed to do the trick best. She still loves him.
To my best friend and fiance...definitely our song.
To my daughters sperm donor:

Great songs, SCM!
I'd like to dedicate Cyndi Lauper's cover of Etta James' "At Last" to my wife. Our wedding song.
To my sister, who is going through a tough divorce right now, The Cure's "Disintegration". One of her all-time favorite bands and a fitting song. Thanks for getting me into this band, Amy.
To the douche bag that she's leaving, Pennywise's "Greed". I hope you choke on it you selfish, controlling fuck! I'm sure money's an excellent replacement for family, friends and love. Kill yourself, dickhead!

To my friend Wally, Willie Nelson and Merle Haggard doing "Pancho and Lefty".
To VASTEELER, Clutch's "Willie Nelson". A fine tune by a great band that I know he likes... with appropriate subject matter.
To Weebles, Turbonegro's "Monkey On Your Back" with a guest appearance by Lady Gaga on bass guitar.
To that high score whore, Truck.... "Pacman Fever" by Buckner and Garcia.

This one goes out to my wife, LoS. Not only is she my wife, but she's my best friend. I'm not sure what I did to deserve a woman like her, but I must have done something right. She deserves much better than my sorry ass. If I could have one wish, it would be for every guy to have a wife like the one I have.
We started dating in high school, and on our first date alone, we went ice skating. This song played on the radio as we were driving there. It was one of her favorite songs at the time. It was many years ago, but yet it seems like yesterday.

This one goes out to Mom. I've been a member of a lot of boards over the years, and I've interacted with a lot of people. But I'm not sure I've ever met anyone quite like Mom. She's a fantastic woman. She's the perfect combination of smart and funny. We rarely agree on anything, but one thing that isn't debatable is that she's an awesome person. I've never told her this before, but she's taught me a lot. And I'm sure she'll teach me a lot more. I honestly feel that I'm a better person for knowing her.
This is for you Mom ... much RESPECT!!!

This one goes out to vasteeler. You weren't one of the original Night Owls, and we really didn't know each other well at SU until the Greatest Story thread. After some of us were banished from SU and went back to SF, you found us there and quickly became part of our dysfunctional family. And then you came here with us to SX. I don't know a lot, but one thing I do know is that friends stick together. And I'm happy to call you a friend.

Not long after I got banned from SU and went back to SF, I got into a debate with a new member there. We went back and forth for a while until be both gave up. A few days later, Buddha sent me a PM telling me he invited my nemesis to join the Halfway House. I was hesitant, but I agreed to let him in figuring if nothing else, I'd have some fun messing with him. But it didn't take long to realize that my nemesis was a great guy. And then I learned that he was only 17 years old. At first I felt bad for giving him crap, but the more I thought about it, he gave me more crap than I gave him. He jumped right in with the big boys and slapped me around with no fear. How could I not respect that? And for his reward, we adopted him into our family and started corrupting him.
This one goes out to you, mcg.

I'm not really much of a rapper, VA.
You could have also hit me with this version. I'm surprised you didn't, being the metalhead that you are.

To SCM, the question I feel I should ask her at SF before tearing into a troll.

You most certainly may, but it has to be while the Misfits is blasting in the background.
What other way is there to kill?

Depends...if you're a depressed emo (not the shitty emo's that listen to Fall Out Boy either...just to make that clear) you might kill someone while listening to Bauhaus. I see nothing wrong with that either though.

Slayer, although not emo, is always good for a head-rolling hoot of a time as well.

That's why we have private rooms here ... you can rep me all you want, and no one will have to know.
This is going to end up with a bloody rectum, Wally sobbing uncontrollably in one of our arms, and a long talk with him about the "birds and the bees".

I'm going to dedicate the Iggy and the Stooges song "Gimme Danger" to Jon. His posts always have a little "push the envelope" sense of danger and thought-provocation mixed with caustic humor. I also know he's a big Iggy fan. Here's to ya, buddy!

I would like to dedicate this song to both Wally and Buddha for their love of beer and Buddha's love of peeing. I'm sure you haven't learned to use the toilet yet, but it's okay one day.
