| Deflategate 2.0 appears to be short-lived.
Amid reports that the Pittsburgh Steelers used deflated footballs during Thursday’s preseason game against the Philadelphia Eagles, NFL spokesperson Michael Signora issued a statement Friday saying one deflated football was quickly removed from play, while the other footballs were found to be in compliance with rules and the team followed all proper protocols.
In other words, the Steelers’ own personal Deflategate scandal appears to be over before it could begin. It was enough to briefly send Twitter wild.
