I agree regarding the PI. That was blatant interference. Any more handsy and he could have been brought up on sexual assault charges. Pittsburgh @ Cleveland 1:00pm - Page 3 1f60e

It turns out Schobert has done this to Landry before:

Good stuff!

Schobert is playing hard.

What about trading Bush at the deadline? Any thoughts on that? I don't think it will happen but he's obviously underperforming.

they have so much invested in bush, i feel like they need to give him another year. but i would not pick up the 5th year option. i ripped on bud dupree for 3 years and i hated the zach gentry pick. now gentry is turning in to a contributor. i think i'll hold off before i shovel the dirt over bush... Boswell still in protocol, they signed Josh Lambo to practice squad:

Steelers kicker Chris Boswell remains in concussion protocol, and the team signed former Jaguars kicker Josh Lambo to the practice squad in the event Boswell is not cleared before the game against the Bears on “Monday Night Football” next week.

I don't know how much stock to put in PFF grades but this article makes our TEs look pretty good this past weekend:

Quote :
Zach Gentry (83.6) and Pat Freiermuth (76.5) — There may not be a position group on the team that’s playing better than the Steelers’ tight ends right now. Freiermuth’s score improved for the fourth consecutive game Sunday and was the best of his rookie season to date. Gentry, meanwhile, posted his second score over 80 in the past three games. And it wasn’t just his pass catching that helped. Both his pass blocking (75.2) and run blocking (71.4) scores were very solid and meaningful, too. His 46 offensive snaps against the Browns were double what he’s seen in any other game last season. PFF would still like to see Freiermuth improve his run blocking — he’s posted just one score better than 60.0 in that category since the season opener. But on the whole, these guys are at a different level than most of their peers right now — even running back Najee Harris, who’s gotten the bulk of the praise for offensive playmakers in recent weeks.

In same article Schobert got 79.7. Bush got 41.0. Dan Moore 28.7.

i owe zach gentry an apology... i really blasted that pick. his super slow 40 time just didnt appeal to me. i never pictured him being a serviceable contributor that would ever be worthy of a 5th round pick.
im thrilled he is finally proving me wrong .... Pittsburgh @ Cleveland 1:00pm - Page 3 512807920 LETS GO BRANNN.... ZACH !!!

im shocked that an NFL team doesn't  have a designated backup kicker that can at least make a legit attempt at an under 30yd FG. i mean why not have your punter practice FG's ? i was a kicker my freshmen and jr year in high school. even now at 53 years old i'm pretty confident i could still make 7 out 10 from 30 yds.

Ironically enough I was watching an old Steelers vs Rams game from 1981 last night and the Rams had a kicker named Frank Corral that also punted. He was their kicker, but not punter, in SB 14 where he hit 2 FGs  and 1 for 2 in XP. He played both punter and kicker for a couple years after in 1980 and 1981 then was out of football. His stats are below. That was point I was trying to get across, it just seemed odd that it hadn't ever happened. It turns out it has at least once.

Kicking has become vey specialized now. I've been watching the Steelers games from the 1980-1981 seasons the past few weeks and the guys back then for all teams would miss 30-40 yarders and XPs often. Steelers had Matt Bahr and David Trout, Trout especially would miss a lot. In the 1980 season they lost 4 games by a total of 10 points, 3 by 4 total, and Trout was missing XPs and FGs that are considered automatic today with regularity. My perception of the 1980 season was they missed the playoffs because of so many injuries and getting old, but 10 points and lots of missed kicks ended up separating them from 9-7 and 13-3 which would have been the NFL's best record that year.
